Heroes and Legends of the Texas State Cemetery

Heroes and Legends of the Texas State Cemetery celebrates the lives of some famous Texans buried there through one-on-one interviews with other notables. Those interviewed include Former First Lady of Texas Nellie Connally, Former Texas Governor Ann Richards, Former University of Texas Football Coach Darrell Royal, Former Texas Ranger Captain Jack Dean, Former White House Press Secretary George Christian, Former Texas State Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn, Former Texas Supreme Court Justice Raul A. Gonzalez, Texas State Senator Rodney Ellis, Former Texas State Comptroller John Sharp and Jan Bullock, widow of Lt. Governor Bob Bullock.

This made-for-television special was filmed in December of 1998 and features an interview with both then-Governor and Mrs. George W. Bush, as well as a holiday tour of the mansion by the First Lady.
